'A herd of elephants in their stately trappings and howdahs in which are seated Indian princes and attendant, including"H.R.H. " , the elephant used by H .R.H. the Prince of Wales while in India, also the famous elephant "Charlie", said to be the largest in captivity. More carriages and wild beast cages follow. The two elephants mentioned were recently shot at the Crystal Palace after breaking loose and going on a rampage, killing their keeper and causing much fright to visitors at the time.'
